Recently, the annual China Workshop on Machine Translation (CWMT) and International Workshop on Spoken Language Translation (IWSLT) were hold and result for systemic evaluation has been published. The machine translation system (hereinafter referred to as NLPR translation system) developed by National Key Laboratory of Pattern Recognition came to the fore once again. Among which, NLPR spoken language translation system virtually won the first places for all the evaluation indicators of IWSLT Chinese-English, English-Chinese and bilingual translation. In addition, the performance of Chinese-English spoken language translation system is well ahead of the second place. Moreover, NLPR English text machine translation system won the first place in the evaluation of CWMT (news) with greater advantage within the 32 systems of 17 participants at home and abroad.
