Zhiqiang Cao received the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Shandong University of Technology, China, in 1996 and 1999, respectively. In 2002, he received the Ph.D. degree in control theory and control engineering from Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China.

He is currently an associate professor in the State Key Laboratory of Management and Control for Complex Systems, Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Academic Achievements

Principal/Sub-Principal Investigator for several projects supported by the National High Technology Research and Development Program of China (863 Program), the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Knowledge Innovation Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and CASIA Innovation Fund for Young Scientists, etc.

He was the recipient of the BaoGang outstanding student award in 2002 and the second award of Beijing science and technology with the rank of 6 in 2004. He has published more than 90 papers, 12 invention patents and 11 software copyrights.
