The Xiangshan Science Conferences entitled “Acupuncnomics” has been held at Fragrant Hill Hotel (Beijing) on Dec 15-17, 2009. More than 60 distinguished scientists from over 30 institutions in this field were invited to the conference. Professor Jie Tian, chairman of the conference, has given a presentation entitled “the acupuncture mechanism investigation based on the Acupuncnomics.” Providing a platform for extensive exchanges between acupuncture teams across the world, the meeting promoted international cooperation, advanced interdisciplinary studies, facilitated novel brainstorms and encouraged new support. With 23 keynote reports and over 100 speaks, in order to form the suggestions about the further plan and strategy for the traditional acupuncture mechanisms, this conference had been a great success.
