Area Chairs of ACCV2009 visit NLPR

Area Chairs of Asian Conference on Computer Vision 2009 (ACCV2009) from United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Australia, etc. along with some entourages visited National Laboratory of Pattern Recognition (NLPR), Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences on Jul. 7th.

Professor TAN Tieniu, director of  NLPR, gave the welcom speech while Professor LIU Chengliu, deputy director of NLPR, gave an overall introduction of the laboratory. Then foreign experts looked around in NLPR and watched demonstrations of  Iris Recognition, Face Recognition, Visual Surveillance, 3D Reconstruction, Chinese-English Speech Translation, Digital Graphics Rendering, etc.. They discussed with relative staff and ranked research progress of NLPR highly.
