Recently, Professor Jianhua Tao was officially hired as the subject editor of the journal Speech Communication,which made him the first Chinese subject editor of the journal.
Speech Communication, founded in 1982, is a publication of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP) and of the International Speech Communication Association (ISCA) [1]. It is one of the most important international journals in the field of speech technology, involving speech signal processing, spoken language analysis and processing, natural language processing, multi-modal human computer interaction and other aspects. This journal has one editor-in-chief, eight subject editors and forty editorial board members. Subject editors assist the chief editor with reviewing and acceptance of the final articles, as well as setting the development strategy of the journal, which is an important position of the journal.
Being subject editor of the Speech Communication, Professor Tao will have a positive impact on extending the influence of our institute in the international academic community.
