Invited by the Swiss Embassy in China, Professor Yi Zeng delivered a speech at the 2015 EU-China Research and Innovation Tour on October 30th. The invited talk is on the collaboration with Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) as a representative of international collaboration between Switzerland and China.
Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) jointly established the Sino-Swiss Laboratory for Data Intensive Neuroscience on March 26th, 2015. The collaboration between scientists from both sides focuses on collaborative Neuroinformatics platforms. As the Deputy Director of the Sino-Swiss joint lab, Professor Yi Zeng introduced the opportunities, potential impacts and progresses for integrating large-scale Neuroinformatics platforms developed by both countries respectively. He also demonstrated potential future collaborations on Neuroscience, and the profound impact of Brain-inspired Intelligence, etc.

EU embassy representatives and Chinese scholars who are actively involved in various research collaborations with EU countries presented. Strategic Collaboration under the framework of Horizon 2020 was introduced by officers from EU commission. Representatives from the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission delivered strategic talks on potential supporting mechanisms for China-EU collaboration.
