On Thursday December, 15th, 2016, LIAMA consortium held video conference among committee members on the 5th Meeting Room of Intelligent Building in CASIA, Beijing.
Prof. LIU Chenglin, deputy director of CASIA, hosted the conference. Four committee members from four places in different time zones attended the meeting at the same time through video conversations, including LIAMA Laboratory in Beijing, Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI) in Amsterdam, Salle Visioconférence Georg Cantor from Paris and Bréhat from Rennes respectively.
What’s more, LIAMA directors and other LIAMA members were present at the conference.
In the video conference, the French representative of LIAMA director firstly reviewed 2016 report about current LIAMA projects and discussed LIAMA workshops on October 10th to 11th. In addition, he also put forward new plans of CFP for CAS-France projects in 2017 with each project about 10 minutes. All committee members made comments and put forward questions on the new projects.
Then, Chinese representative of LIAMA director, Prof. TAO Jianhua, presented 2016 budget and proposed proposal for 2017 budget. Prof. TAO discussed the current problems of 2016 budget and hoped to increase 2017 budget with other committee members, considering salary increase of living standard in Beijing and the increasing of manpower.
In views of the 20th anniversary of LIAMA in 2017 and new agreement of LIAMA among committee members just on the way, LIAMA directors from different countries took discussions on celebration events of 20th anniversary of LIAMA and expressed hopes for continuous cooperation with current partners in next year.
Finally, Prof. LIU drew the conclusion of the video conference. New projects and proposals needed time to decide and they would be discussed in next conference.
