The Chinese Academy of Sciences Named 90 New Academicians

On Nov. 18th, the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) named 90 new academicians, including those from China as well as abroad. Prof. QIAO Hong, a researcher from the CAS Institute of Automation, is among the 5 newly elected female Chinese scientists.
Academician is the highest academic honor in China. Every two years the CAS elects new academicians. There are in total 860 Chinese and 129 overseas Academicians.
