The underlying mechanism of acupuncture with the facilitation of functional MRI

The project aims at investigating the underlying mechanism of Chinese acupuncture with the facilitation of functional MRI (fMRI). The prevalent resting-state functional connectivity is employed to detect the coherent network among brain regions under condition of pure resting-state and its counterpart after acupuncture manipulation. Network analysis and essential modals of graph theory are adopted in the further analysis to extend potential functionality of each dot in the network. The research further develops the acupuncture network modal and provides a new method for Chinese Acupuncture research.
