Academic Achievements

Prof. Zhao Jun hosts a series of national projects including Natural Science Foundation of China, National High Technology Research and Development Program("863"Program) of China, Research Project of China Publishing Group, etc. He has published over 60 papers in refereed international journals and conference proceedings including LRE, ACL, IJCAI, CIKM, EMNLP, CoNLL and ECML etc. He also developed a series of important tools of Chinese text analysis, including Chinese word segmentation, POS tagging, named entity recognition, named entity translation, named entity disambiguation, and dependency parsing, etc. Among them, the tool of named entity recognition and dependency parsing ranked top in the evaluation organized by 863 programme and CoNLL. These tools have been used by a series of users.
