Academic Achievements

His research interests include pattern recognition and machine learning, image and video processing, mobile multimedia, and intelligent video surveillance. He has published over 80 journal and conference papers in these fields, and has widely published at highly ranked international journals, such as IEEE Transactions on Image Processing (TIP), IEEE Transactions on Multimedia (TMM), ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications (ACM TOMCCAP), and Pattern Recognition (PR), and leading international conferences, such as ACM Multimedia (ACM MM), Computer Vision and Pattern Recognition (CVPR) and International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV).
